PHOENIX (AZ Family) —Jenn Gardner says that thanks to On Your Side, she got her $500 back.

“Without Gary Harper, I would still have $500 less in my bank account. So I appreciate it,” Jenn said of repaying his money. “I think the whole show (On Your Side) is great and that you guys can do this.”

In a recent On Your Side report, Jenn wasn’t so happy. She explained how she went online and bought $500 worth of tickets at Hurricane Harbor Water Park in north Phoenix. The tickets were for her daughter and her friends to celebrate her 11th birthday party.

“She is in fifth grade and has a fantastic little group of friends. And that was her big request. ‘We want to make a water park.’”

An hour after purchasing the tickets, he loaded all the kids into the cars and headed to Hurricane Harbor. “Oh my God!” Jenn said about having so many tweens in two vehicles.

“A lot of Taylor Swift. My ears were bleeding. But they were very excited. They were very happy,” she said.

But when they arrived, they found Hurricane Harbor closed due to the weather. However, Jenn claims that it was sunny that day and wonders why the water park would let her buy tickets if they knew they were closed.

“I just bought these tickets about an hour ago today. There is no way a website would let me buy tickets for today if it were closed,” Jenn said.

Hurricane Harbor told Jenn they had a no-refund policy and she could use the tickets for another day. That’s when she contacted On Your Side.

“Yeah, I have three kids, so I could really use that $500,” she explained.

Hurricane Harbor investigated the issue and discovered that their website had a “glitch” that day that allowed Jenn to make the purchase when she shouldn’t have.

As a result, the water park promised to refund the $500 to Jenn, and the Scottsdale mom says the money recently arrived in her account.

Jenn says she owes it all to On Your Side. “I’m so happy, Gary is the best,” Jenn said, laughing.
