Key Phoenix Suns player could miss Timberwolves game

On Friday night, the Phoenix Suns will host the Minnesota Timberwolves in Arizona for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

For the game, the Suns could be without one of their best players, as Grayson Allen is on the injury report.

Allen scored three points, three rebounds and a steal while shooting mid-range three-pointers in 17 minutes of play (in Game 2).

Via Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports on Thursday: “Grayson Allen (right ankle sprain) is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow’s Game 3, as expected. Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery) remains out, no other additions to the Suns’ injury report”

Allen had an excellent regular season with averages of 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 49.9% from the field and 46.1% from three-point range in 75 games. .

The Suns are the sixth seed in the Western Conference and had a record of 49-33.

This is Allen’s first year with the Suns (after being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks during the offseason).

The Timberwolves have a 2-0 lead in the series after winning each of the first two games at the Target Center (in Minnesota).

In the second game, the Timberwolves beat the Suns 105-93.

Jaden McDaniels led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal while shooting 10/17 from the field and 2/4 from three-point range in 41 minutes of play.

Game 4 of the series will be Sunday night (also in Arizona).
