During her tour stop in Chicago, rapper and self-confessed New Yorker Nicki Minaj publicly admitted to some love for the Windy City side of a historic culinary rivalry.

While locals are known to love New York-style pizza, Minaj praised the pies offered in Chicago.

While it’s unclear whether Minaj ate deep-dish pizza or the locally beloved tavern-style thin crust pizza, her praise for Chicago food went beyond pizza.

Minaj, born in Trinidad and Tobago, seemed impressed by the variety of food available in the city.

The star plays the United Center on Wednesday and Thursday nights before continuing his tour Saturday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
