The 19-year-old man attended Fairfield Police Station at 8.15am today, where he was arrested.

He was charged with rioting and two counts of damaging property while disorderly.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Court today.

The riot broke out in the western Sydney suburb of Wakeley following the alleged terrorist stabbing of Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel, 53.

Seven other men have been charged for their alleged role in the riots and all remain before court.
