USDA announces multimillion-dollar investment to upgrade Ohio water treatment plant

The United States Department of Agriculture on Thursday announced a multimillion-dollar investment for a water treatment facility in Morrow, Ohio. USDA Rural Development Director Jonathan McCracken and Western Water Company made the announcement at the Bennett Road site. The investment is $7.5 million to upgrade and expand Western Water Company’s water treatment facility in Morrow. Officials said that when the proposed project is completed, the facility will have “an enhanced ability to provide clean, safe and reliable water to the more than 47,000 southwest Ohio residents who live within its service area.” The facility currently serves to four counties and 23 municipalities.
