JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Action News Jax learned tonight that the Jacksonville City Council approved a proposal to build a storage facility on Southbank. This has been an issue that many neighbors have been fighting for years.

Before approving the plan, the council modified it.

The new version of the plan approved tonight calls for part of the first floor to be used for restaurant and retail. The plan also limits the storage business’ hours of operation to 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
