How to Watch the South Carolina High School Lacrosse State Championships

Riverside girls lacrosse and Greenville boys lacrosse will play Saturday in the South Carolina high school state championships in the Class AAAA division at Irmo High School in Columbia.

Riverside won the Class AAAAA state title in 2021 and will make its third finals appearance in four years. The Warriors (17-2) last week beat Christ Church Episcopal, 23-9, to win Upper State.

Greenville won the all-classification state title in 2010 and returned to the finals a year later. The Red Raiders (14-3) earlier this week beat AC Flora, 15-10, to advance.

Champions will be decided in Class AAAAA and Class AAAA, which includes all schools in the bottom four SCHSL classifications.

11am – Girls Class AAAAA: Fort Mill (13-5) vs. Chapin (17-2)

13:00 (approximately) – Boys Class AAAAA: Nation Ford (13-6) vs. Wando (16-3)

3:30 pm – Girls Class AAAA: Riverside (17-2) vs. Bishop England (18-0)

5:30 pm (approximately) – Boys Class AAAA: Greenville (14-3) vs. Lucy Beckham (14-5)

How to Watch the South Carolina High School Lacrosse Championships

In person: Tickets can be purchased on GoFan for $15 (children under 5 free) and will be valid for the entire day. There will be a cash option at the door, where all tickets will be validated. Screenshots of entries will not be accepted. Items not permitted in the stadium include outside food and drink, banners, artificial noisemakers and umbrellas.

Transmission: The games will be broadcast live on the NFHS Network for subscribers. The cost is $11.99 per month with cancellation at any time.

Riverside Lacrosse Players to Watch

beautiful bright, Jr., midfielder: Bright ranks fifth in the state with 90 goals and fourth in points with 128. She also became a tie specialist this season, winning them at 57.3 percent. Bright has scored 189 goals in her career. She scored seven goals in Upper State’s title game. She is committed to Florida Southern.

Marianna López, Sr., goalkeeper: Lopez three years ago as a freshman grew after his junior varsity season and immediately inserted himself into the starting lineup in the playoffs. Riverside won the state championship. Lopez has increased his save percentage this season from 40.1 to 51.3. He will play in college at Mars Hill.

Greenville Boys Lacrosse Players to Watch

Doug Landrum, Sr., defense: Landrum pushes up like a long-stick midfielder and not only triggers counterattacks but often finishes them off. He ranks sixth in the state in takeaways and 11th in ground ball recoveries, but has also scored 28 goals, fourth best on the team. He scored three goals and two assists in the state semifinal game.
