JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department extinguished a large brush fire in a wooded area near Kirbo Road.

A bystander alerted Action News Jax to the fire at 2:09 a.m. Action News Jax’s Logan MacDonald went to the scene and saw several JFRD firefighters and Florida Forest Service personnel at the scene.

Action News Jax is still waiting to learn what potentially caused the JFRD and FFS fire.
